Tool for "Garnar" larger model 1:87

Garnar is a wordplay: Gran is Swedish for Spruce tree, Garn is swedish for yarn, thus when you make spruce trees from yarn it will becomes Garnar

The classical method uses a wooden tool and alot of thread spinnign with a pair of pliers. This tool takes the production of garnar into the modern world. We use the cordless drill to twist the wire. We also have a lager tool set for Garnar part no 310334

The tool consists of two parts, a holder for your drill and a tool for the garn itself. The package contain two sizes, a smaller that give you a garn of 190-200 mm (approx 8") , the larger 270-280mm (approx 11" respectilvly i.e. prototype height of 16.5-17.5 and 23.5-24.4m

For garn manucfacturing you will need 

•  Black or green flower steel wire 0.8-0.9 mm diameter, 320 mm length, in Sweden you will find such wire at Panduro part no280827 and Slöjd-Detaljer part no  2742-0000 (600 mm lenght) 

• Needle colured knitting yarn i.e. Järbo Raggi skogsgrön (Slöjd-Detaljer part no 3434-2783)

• Cordless drill

• Flat noise pliers with cutter

• Small angled scissorst

One package contains one larger and one smaller tool for "Garnar" and an illustraed instruction (in Swedish)
